Scruffy Yacht Dog Sails Again

I know I haven’t updated my blog in over a month. July has been a very busy month. The marina finally put our sailboat in the water July 4th weekend. We packed Daddy’s truck for the trip out to Mattituck to get the boat ready for our Journey to Mount Sinai. I hope there are some treaties in there for me.

Imagine our surprise when we saw our boat. What is wrong with this picture? Where is the mast?

I went on board to check things out and look for any bones I may have left behind from 2006.

Nothing down here.

We unloaded all our stuff and washed the boat. Aunt Donna is in charge of washing the cushions.

After the mast was put in the boat there were extra parts left over, Mommy and Daddy were not pleased.

The next day the guys from the marina and Daddy finished putting the extra parts back were they belonged. Mommy and Daddy spent the next day and half getting Sailor Dance ready for her maiden 2008 voyage.

With stuff everywhere I found a yummy bone to chew on so I wouldn’t be in the way.

When it was finally time to cast off, Daddy had a problem. Someone was occupying his captain’s seat.

Bye Mattituck.

I kept a sharp eye out for other boats.

All clear ahead Dad.

Bye Heron.

We passed by the Old Mill Restaurant which Asta should recognize from last summer. The nasty swans were nowhere to be seen.

Once we were clear of the Jetty it was time to plot our course.

After careful consideration I picked out the pawfect course, 280 degrees to Mount Sinai.

Hey Dad come to port a little the sails are luffing. Hmm smell that salty air.

I smell something good in the galley. I wonder what Mom is making for dinner?

This is a picture of our new harbor. This year Sailor Dance will be parked on a mooring in the middle of the harbor. A motor boat called a launch takes us to and from Sailor Dance.

Stay tuned for the rest of July…

Summer Plucking

Well last Monday I had my beauty appointment in Connecticut with "Jack Across the Water" and he owned the lawn mower.

I have before and after pictures. This is me in all my scruffy glory

Somewhere under that hair is my tail, it looks like a pom pom.

This is the scene of the crime. CSI Connecticut would have lots of evidence.

When it was all over it was time to catch the ferry back to Port Jefferson. Evidently the US Coast Guard got word that there was a VIP (Very Important Pup) on board the ferry and provided an escort all the way from Bridgeport to Port Jefferson.

Here is a picture of my skinny tail.

Where is my dinner Mom? This has been a very trying day.

Oh this is much better than crunchies.

Hey who's at the door?

Gotta go bark at an intruder.

My Nephew Winslow

My sister Popsicle had a litter of puppies. Well one of her pups now lives in his new home in Brooklyn, NY. This is my nephew Winslow.

He is very cute if I must say so myself. Hopefully some day I will get to meet him and play some terrier games.

Welcome to New York Winslow.

No Cheeseburgers for Me

Well imagine my surprise when Mom showed up in the middle of my mid-day nap. My Mom took me for a walk but I'm not used to doing my business at this time of day.

When we got back from my walk Mom put dinner crunchies in my bowl and off she went. Dinner at lunch time? What the heck is this?

Well it seems Mom and Dad went to a Jimmy Buffett concert at Madison Square Garden.

This is a totally silly human gathering where humans dress up in silly parrot hats, shark fins, grass skirts and sing songs about being in paradise.

What really peeves off is they serve something called cheeseburgers in paradise.

I love cheeseburgers, and I gotta stay home and settle for dog food!!! I'm going on strike, it's just not fair.

Well I'm used to going for a walk around 5 o'clock.

My Collie friend Sasha's Mom showed up to let me out and hangout and play with me.

It was okay but I'm not happy about getting cheated out of cheeseburgers. If I had seen any of those parrots I would have terrieriozed them just like the geese down at the local pond.

Well till next time...

Wirestock Part II - Yes I'm Back

Hello to all my friends. Yes I have been away for a while. My laptop went to Windows heaven or Windows hell. The words that Daddy was using I think it was the later of the two. Well Dad was busy working on the boat and he finally got around to reloading the laptop. Mom's still pestering him about the leaking toilet that keeps running, but everything has a priority.

Here are the rest of the pictures from Wirestock.

We had to pull our parents all the way around this lake. I would've preferred to swim across.

Okay humans! We're walking, we're walking, lets try to keep up, no stragglers.

Terriers on the rock. Jeeves, Smitty, me, Ozzy, Romeo, and Asta.

Here we are for another group shot. Nobody said cheese this time.

Me and Mom with my certificate of achievement. I just want the treats in her hand.

Me and Asta in a photo finish. I think she had me by a beards length.

Asta with her Daddy in the tail wagging contest. Asta's Mommy was supposed to paw take in this event with Asta, but she thought George would look better in digits than she would... Hehehe

Jeeves Mom was having lunch and we were trying to figure out if she had american or chedder cheese on that burger.

Well it's time to hit the road.

I had a nice nap on the trip home. Dad took a wrong turn and we wound up taking the scenic trip home. Mom and Dad were ready for a nap when they got home. I was ready to Rock-n-Roll.

Well we had a good time and for a good cause. I am so glad I got to meet new friends and hope to get together for some more wirey fun.

PS: Best wishes to Asta's Daddy George for a speedy recovery. Hope you get to go home soon.

Wirestock Part 1

Sunday morning Mom and Dad woke me up for Wirestock before the sun came up. Actually Mom woke Dad and I up. There was lots of bag packing going on and then we climbed into the Jeep and off we went. When we finally got to Bear Mountain we walked around but did not see anyone from Team Wire.

For those of you just tuning in we are participating in a dog walk for the American Cancer Society.

Out of no where we found Asta. She was very excited to see me. She sniffed me from my fuzzy head to my fuzzy butt.

Whats this? Another Wire, it was Jeeves with his Mom Amy in tow. Jeeves is very cute.

Two more Foxies showed up. It's an invasion! It was Ozzy and Romeo. Their Mom came up with the idea for Team Wire. They look very GQ in their Wirestock tee-shirts.

Ozzy and Romeo came over to say hello. Ozzy whispered something in my ear and there is a great picture of me on Ozzys blog giving him a scolding.

Ozzy and Romeo's Mom Jen brought us presents. Inside were yummy homemade cookies.

Here is Asta showing off her most pawfect behavior to get a treat from her Mom. Smitty prefers to do the dancing bear routine for treats.

Here I am showing off my pawfect behavior for getting treats. We are just a couple of wirey angels. If there were any muddy paw prints on the humans pants it wasn't from us.

It was time to line up for a group shot before the walk.

It went something like this...

Some Human with a camera: Okay look at the camera and say CHEESE!!!

Romeo: Cheese??? What cheese???

Asta: Did someone say cheese?

Ozzy: There's no cheese here.

Jeeves: Hey get off me and go find your own cheese.

Smitty: I can't find no stinking cheese.

Me: I think we've been had.

Well so much for the group shot.

It's getting late so I'm going to stop here for now.

To be continued....

My Little Brother Seamus

I am still going through all the pictures from Wirestock and will post them soon so stay tuned. I had a great time meeting my Wirey friends.

A while back I posted that my Wirey Mom had pups. Well my new little brother Seamus sent me some pictures of himself and his new sister Shannon. They live in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He is very cute and you can definitely see the family resemblance.

No Wire pictures are complete without a good roaching shot.

Here is his new sister Shannon, she's 10 months old.

I am trying to convince Seamus to start a blog about him and his sister.

I am so glad that Seamus has found a great home.
