Family For Dinner

Me and my family just wanted to say thank you for all your warm wishes.

As I mentioned in my last post, we've had a lot of company the last couple of weeks. I am not allowed at the table during dinner, although I let them know I'm still around so they don't forget me. After dinner I was allowed to the table for dessert. I got to have delicious ice cream, but no Bailey's.

After dessert it was time to work off that ice cream. Here I am playing tug of war with Chris. Can you see the calories pouring off?

Look at this picture. I look like the big bad wolf. Chris put up a good fight but in the end I walked away with the rubber toy.

All this excitement was just too much... ZZZZZZZ

Bye for now.

Aunt Bobbie

Hello everyone I've been away the last few weeks. Labor Day weekend brought a great tragedy to our family. Sadly
my Moms sister passed away. It was a very difficult time for the family. I was busy cheering up my Mom and the rest of my family with my zainy antics. If my Mom started to cry I would jump in her lap and lick her face until she stopped.

Aunt Bobbie came with Mom, Grandma Ginny (GG), and Melissa when she picked me up from my wirey Mom in Florida, so I only knew her a short time.

GG came up from Florida and stayed with us for 2 weeks so I was evicted from my dog cave, but that's another story. It was a very busy 2 weeks. We had family over, we went visting family, and a good friend Mark O'Grady came all the way from North Carolina to spend time with us. When Mom went back to work I kept GG company, she even played tug-of-war with me.

GG went home to Florida and Mom and Dad are back at work. I will continue my job of being the resident comedian / watchdog.

Prayers for Aunt Bobbie, she will be missed very much by all of us.

Talk to you all soon...

Bath For My Itchies

Mom decided it was time for me to have a bath for my itchies. I hate baths...

After I escaped I ran around the house trying to air dry my coat. I ran and rubbed myself on the furniture the rugs, ran some more, rubbed some more. By the time I was done I was all out of breath and ready for a nap.

Dad took me to Petco to get me a treat for being a good girl in the tub. This bone will be history in a few days.

Gotta get back to chewing.

Do I Hear 5? Do I Hear 10?

My Mom helped out at the Mount Sinai Sailing Associations annual American Cancer Society Regatta. The money raised goes to a good cause. Well they had something called an auction where some guy yells out "Do I hear 5"? "Do I hear 10"? Well Mom got so caught up in the excitement she won a prize. I think the painting was a lot more than "Do I hear 10"? He He He... Cute fish Mom, where you hanging that?

Jack Across The Water

Hello All,

Mom and Donna took me on the ferry last Monday in a great rain storm to see "Jack Across the Water" in Connecticut for a plucking. Now most of you might be saying what is so great about being out on a boat in a rain storm. The wind was howling the sea's were rocking and so was the ferry. Donna was getting a little queezy sitting in the cabin so her and Mom decided to go sit outside under the overhang. A-A-A-A the smell of that salt spray was just too much, I had to get a better whiff, so I tugged and tugged until Mom gave me more lead.

There I was out there in the spray with the wind blowing through my scruffy coat. Can you picture a wooden carving of me on the front of those old wooden sailing ships?

The following weekend I helped Mom wash off all the salt from the Jeep.

Dad went out to check on the sailboat and work has finally begun on replacing our fuel tank. Mrs. Sailor Dance aka Mom went out there a couple of weeks ago to find out what was the hold up. Squeaky wheel gets the oil. Hopefully I'll be sailing again soon.

Wind Blown

Last Sunday Mom and Dad took me for a ride in Moms Jeep Wrangler. Can't you tell by the seat covers. Mom has this thing for convertibles. I would much prefer to be on the sailboat with the sea breeze blowing through my scruffy coat.

Notice I'm getting an education in aerodynamics. I feel like the human on the weather channel who stands outside during a hurricane. Heres a tip, keep your mouth closed unless you want bugs in your teeth.

We finally got to our destination, Chez Blaskopf also known as Donna and Teds. Ted and Dad exchanged the secret handshake. Humans are so strange. I got to meet a new friend "Lady". She is an old girl but she can run.

Trip to Massachusetts

Dad and I went to visit Yaya (Grandma) this weekend up in Massachusetts. We drove out to Orient Point, NY where we got on a big ferry boat, the M/V John H. The ferry is much bigger than my sailboat. It sure was nice to be on the water again. There were a lot of dogs on the ferry. When we got to New London, CT we drove to Dudley, MA, but not before christening the state of Connecticut.

We spent the weekend with my Yayas. I checked out her condo and checked out all the sofa's to see if they were comfortable. Dad scolded me and told me to get down, I was just checking out the new diggs. I got to meet my human cousins Peter, Christine, and Charlie. Of course they thought I was cute.

Yaya doesn't have a yard so whenever I would ring my poochie bells Dad would take me for a walk, lots of walks till he caught wise. I just wanted to go exploring the neighborhood. I got to meet 2 dogs, a Jack Russel and a Boston Terrier who came running over to check me out.

When we took the ferry home there were even more dogs on the ferry. I have never met another Wire Fox Terrier but I got to meet two miniature Smooth Fox Terrier pups. They kept yapping at me at first and then they settled down.

As we approached Long Island there were lots of sailboats sailing with their sails full of wind. All that wind and so many sails.
